C1 is where it all started in 53 it was the best performing car on the road even no it only had a blue flame in line 6 cylinder engine and 54 also then in 55 first V8 That really made corvettes a performance car faster then anything else at the time and kinda turned the car into being hot rodded and raced lot of guys would buy 1 new and put headers on and cheater slicks and take it to the drag strip on weekends and drive it to work during the wee

 C2s got much more refined and power options like power disk brakes in 65 and power windows and steering and a/c and in 65 the first big block a 396 c.i engine making 425hp at the time that was big power to weight ratio fast car for its time then in 66 the 427c.i big block came out same power but little more tq and more options like signal 4 barrel carb or tri power was three 2 barrel carbs and more power options became standard like power windows steering disk brakes ac all that 

The big block C2s are still very disarbal in the Corvette world today, very wanted by many just to own and no u have a piece of history and some are getting RestoMod to have the best of both worlds the looks and modern drivability. 

C3s best bang for the buck make great weekend drivers and Restomods still have the classic Corvette looks and style but not so rare and expensive that u dont want to drive and enjoy and make up grades  

 C5s also a great bargain can be a great cars if not real high miles and been abused and not maintained so they also make great weekend fun cars and they are the most heavily modded cars tons of aftermarket parts available almost unlimited what u can do with them
